Dr. Pradeep Chowbey

Dr. Pradeep Chowbey is India's most celebrated minimal access and bariatric surgeon, a pioneer and visionary who has transformed laparoscopic and bariatric surgery in India over 38 years, earning international recognition and India's highest civilian honours for his contributions to the field. As Chairman of the Department of Minimal Access and Bariatric Surgery at Max Super Speciality Hospital Saket, he heads India's finest centre for minimally invasive surgery and obesity treatment. Dr. Chowbey's academic credentials include MBBS, MS in General Surgery, Fellowship of the National Academy of Medical Sciences and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh – an internationally recognised mark of surgical excellence awarded by one of the world's oldest surgical institutions. These distinctions reflect a career built on exceptional technical mastery and academic rigour. He is widely credited as the pioneer of laparoscopic surgery in India.
